PARALLAX

And so with Chad's arrival to the east coast, the cameras were officially rolling! We began filming our "In-TV" commercials on Thursday July 12th in Brigantine, New Jersey with one of our principal actresses Jubil Khan who is playing Melanie Bardo. After a day of filming on the beach, we returned home to West Chester to end the day filming our "Vaccomb" commercial, a parody to the 80's hit comb, the Flowbee. Thank you to Meg Waldowski for playing our Vaccomb Infomercial model for the evening!

Day 2 began with Kate Bianco and Heather Nolte playing two Princeton Students sending a video message from their dorm room to Abbot through the ZTV. From there, we headed to Graham's house where we captured Shoshanna Ruth playing a Yoga Instructor teaching hatha yoga, followed by Philip Jacobson giving a public service announcement on the importance of talking to your kids.

We were lucky enough to have access to our good friend Dustin Stancato's home on Day 3 to shoot our rice commercial featuring John Comegno, Krissy Johnson, Callie Collins, and Alex Ryan Strimel as a happy go lucky family of four. This rice commercial had a lot of comedic value to it and we all had a great time!

From there, we headed back to Graham's home to film one of our more interesting pieces; a PBC Documentary about a boy named Moogly who was recently released from the wild into society. I did say interesting right? A very special thank you to Chris Johnson, Cindy Zern, and Anthony Flamminio for really making this documentary special great. The comedic value was definitely present and we know it will serve it's purpose greatly in our film.

Day 4 began with West Chester's own Jim McCabe playing a TV Anchor reporting about the dangers of your toothbrush and its potentially deadly effects. Following that was perhaps our most visually interesting piece, the Zany Zee commercial. This commercial was created to serve as a parody to those old cheesy McDonald's commercials of the 80's and thanks to the help of Simon Williams, Jeleen Hutama, Malik Mitchell, Madison Baumgardner, and none other than Graham as Zany Zee, we nailed it. The commercial turned out great and everyone involved had a great time.

The last commercial on the day featured Eric Thompson playing the role of John Frazier, a local bank owner using Abbot's ZTV network to show off the inside of his bank. Eric did an extremely good job nailing the character and we were very pleased with how everything turned out.

And so with that, the footage has been shipped off to our editor Sara to begin the process of piecing together these commercials to be integrated into our film. While we still have a few more "In-TV" scenes to be shot, we definitely knocked out the brunt of it this weekend, even with our skeleton crew of only 4 people. A special thanks you Graham, Chad, Paul, and Liz for making all of the commercials possible.

Until next time guys!
